11/01: okay
so i definitely didn't realize that i haven't posted since like August
i guess a lot has happened since then, though i won't lie, i'm not going to remember it all.
weeeell, EFY was a so much fun, and a really good experience
it's so different going somewhere where EVERYONE there is trying to feel the spirit and learn more about the gospel
i'm really mad i haven't gone before this year, but i'll definitely be going the next few years, and i really want to be a councelor after i graduate
then like three days after EFY i got my license :)
mm i guess the next thing would be school starting
i reaaaally don't like school
in the beginning of the year i somehow got scheduled for AP chemistry, which was kind of a shock seeing as how i signed up for AP bio
but i switched out in to honors physics instead hah
so my schedule is:
French 2
AP U.S history
band
honors physics
AP english
pre calculus
i'm kind of struggling right now with school because everything is really super hard
i'm not too worried though, just as long as i can get my grades up by the end of the semester.
mm, well i made the same orchestra in youth symphony again
which is kind of a disappointment, since everyone expected me to move up an orchestra
but very few people actually did move up, so i don't feel as bad about it
i somehow managed to get principal in my section of six
but i think it's mostly because i've been in this orchestra for so long
uhh i think the next big thing that happened was taking Justin down to the MTC
i'm really glad we go to do that, even though i missed four days of school and was behind for like three weeks because of it
but still, it was fun, well sorta
yes, i did cry at the MTC when he left, but i expected myself to
then the weekend after we got back was homecoming, which was a lot of fun
there's pictures and stuff on my mom's blog and on my facebook, if you have one also
i went with one of my best friends, Kevin, and like four other couples
all we really did was go and take pictures, went out to eat at this Italian restaurant, went to the dance for like an hour (which was really really stupid, definitely not worth going to), and then we went back to Kevin's house for an 'after party', though everyone just fell asleep hah
annd i don't think much else has really happend since then, that was October 11th
well, Sarah, my best friend, came to school with me two Fridays ago because she didn't have school that day
she's gone to a private school her whole life, and so she mostly just wanted to see what a public school was like
apparently it's a lot different
though i guess i could've told you that, i shadowed her at her school one day last year
then on Sunday i went to her Korean dance performance, which was really really good
i'm like amazed at all the things she does, and how good she is at it all
this week i didn't have school on Friday, which just so happened to be Halloween, kinda weird how that worked out
i went to the mall with my friend Darwin and bought Sarah's birthday present, even though her birthday isn't for like another month
and we just looked at all the little kids, and not so little kids, running around through the mall with their costumes on getting candy from all the stores
some of their costumes were actually pretty scary.. i don't think i'll be going back to the mall on Halloween again
afterwards i went to my friend Jannette's house and we watched I Am Legend
i was the only one who wasn't scared by it
well, i have seen it before, but it never scared me hah
so yeah
that's pretty much everything that's happened in the past two or threeish months

last week was a lot of funnn.
i had a lot of friends over Monday night and we watched a movie and went down to the elementary school right down the street and just hung out
and then four of us girls ended up going to my friend Jannette's house to sleep over
and then i stayed there till like one
and then they all came over again on Tuseday at 4 hah
and we pretty much did the same thing, except with more people this time

annd then on Wednesday my best friend Sarah came over after young women's and spent the night

07/20: stuff
so i got back from girl's camp yesterday, and it was absolutely amazingg
i had such a good time. at first i really didn't want to like actually go, but i'm really glad that i did
i was over the third years, and they were seriously the best group of girls there
they all got along and there were no cliques or anything, and they were really good listeners
oh yeah, i was a YCL this year by the way
annnd they all had such strong spirits and testimonies and it was really inspiring
i brought a lot of ridiculous clothes that i have laying around in my room, like my leather jumpsuit, my hot pink jumpsuit, some weird hats and huge blue baseball pants, which made me very entertaining to everyone else
my leader was really amazing also, she doesn't really act like an adult i guess, like she acts really young, but she's super responsible and was very inspirational also
my only real complaint was that i didn't bring a sleeping pad this year, and normally i don't and i'm fine, but because of my back problems it like really hurt me a lot, so because of that i didn't go horseback riding or on the slip and slide or rockclimbing, but i still had a really good time
and the other YCLs, Jannette, Rachel and Sheila, who's Rachel's cousin, were so much fun too
i can't imagine being with any other group of girls and have it be any better
oh, and there was also a fire ban this year since it's so dry, which was quite unfortunate especially with how cold it gets at night, so we were all freezing
and then after i got back yesterday, i went to go see Sarah perform in a thing called DANCE this... where they brought together lots of cultural dances, like African and Asian and European and all and like i guess it was like a showcase of them all and it helped spread culture and things. it was really good, i enjoyed it a lot
and then after that, i had to come home and write my talk that i gave tomorrow on pioneers and what we can learn from their faith and testimonies
i talked really fast and i was pretty nervous, but apparently everyone liked it, so it was okay
and a few of my friends from the other ward who meet at the same building, but earlier than we do came for my talk, so that was really cool also
annd yeah, i think that's just about it
ohh, i have EFY next week and i'm suuuper excited
and then the week after that i take my driving test, so hopefully i'll finally get my licensee

so school's finally doneee
well, sort of
there's half a day of school tomorrow still
but that doesn't really count
so in the past while, i've had my birthday, three concerts, finals, two huge projects and my birthday party
my last band concert was alright
we played Phantom and this other random piece
i had a lot of soloish things in Phantom since i was technically the only horn on the piece since the other horn player decided to play the English horn part
i think it's actually on youtube if you really wanna look
my actual birthday wasn't too bad
i had rehearsal in the morning, then i came home and did homework all day
and then i went to my best friend's house and did homework there
then the next day i had dress rehearsal and my last youth symphony concert
which is kind of sad, since it's my last concert with my best friend too since she's not continuing after this year..
but yeah, we played the William Tell Overture, West Side Story, and Pavane
my projects were insanely hard, but i got them both done in time
though i got like two points away from an A on both of them.. bleh
finals weren't so bad
my math one was really hard though
it was kinda stupid because my teacher gave us a review sheet to study for the test

they have a program called "Knight for a Day" for people who want to go check out their school, since she goes to a private school
and that was a lot of fun

because i had like the worst sore throat ever
and last week i had a really really bad toothache
so i went to the dentist
and they said i should get a root canal
so i went to the root canal guy
and he said that i didn't need one..
track's been pretty good
i still haven't competed yet, which makes me sad
but i'm pretty sure i will at the next meet
and yeah
i think that's about it

so
it's been like three weeksish since i last posted.
i don't really remember everything that happened..
the Best of EFY was really good, even Sarah liked it.
the dance afterwords was a lot of fun also.
umm school has been pretty stressful
yesterday was solo ensemble..
i played a solo, a duet and in a quintet
the quintet went really well
the duet pretty well, the guy i was playing with had had is 19 minute solo earlier, so he was kind of worn out for it, but it was still good
and my solo was definitely not that great..
then after solo ensemble i went to a friend's birthday party
and we pretty much just hung out
and played with her super cute puppy
and now track starts in 18 days
and i'm really excited
but i'm also kinda sad right now
cause i'm not going to see Sarah for two more weeks, and i didn't really see her this past week, which is quite upsetting
annnd yeah, i can't really think of anything else that has been happening.

hasn't been too bad.
no power outtages the day before winter break this year :P but my entire 9th grade band went back to see my band director from last year, which was a lot of fun.
Thursday there were a bunch of horn players at my house like all day where we worked on various things for solo ensemble coming up in early Februrary, then afterwards i drove out to my best friend's house to give her her Christmas present because she was driving out to Canada the next day, but i ended up sleeping over.
then Friday night i had a birthday party to go to where we went to a local mall and did a scavenger hunt, and then went back to her house and played Rock Band, a fancier version of Guitar Hero, and watched movies until late in the night, though i fell asleep at like 11.
Saturday Sunday and Monday were all quite uneventful
Tuseday, being Christmas, was good. we got a total of 23 DVDs this year :P i got some CDs on top of that, clothes, annnd the digital camera i've been wanting foreverr :D
and then it started snowing for the first time here on Christmas i think that we've lived here
and then my best friend came home from Canada so i could finally talk to her again :D
i don't remember really doing anything Wednesday or Thurday, but on Friday, Sarah, my beeest friend, came over and we went out to the local mall again for dinner and to buy a few things, and she spent the night
Saturday i had a few other people over and we watched a movie and Sarah spent the night again
Sunday, i was supposed to give a talk, but i completely forgot. i don't even remember what it was supposed to be on.. so i just went up and bore my testimony instead
Sarah's parents made her go home after church :(
New Year's Eve is one of my friends birthday, so i went over her house for quite a while and had cake and all that fun stuff, and then we went to the dance that combined like four stakes, which means for a lot of people and a REALLY hot gym. i'm pretty sure the temperature in there raises like 50 degrees
that was fun.
i slept in until like noon the next day and read all day because i'm supposed to have 1000 pages read by the end of January, and even though i've had all year to do it so far, i only have like 500 pages read :D
so that was pretty much my winter break
